THE STRIKE ONE |
|
Deborah Varrallo and her friends from Nashville turned out to be more than a 'Fishing Party' on the STRIKE ONE. This fun loving group was a wild bunch and was ready for a 'Party' with or without fish. But they were certainly not without fish. They landed 2 big Sailfish and 2 Dorado and this was cause for more celebration. We always enjoy the fishermen who are prepared to have a fabulous day and bringing in a fish is just an added bonus. |

The STRIKE ONE, a top boat in Marina Vallarta had a number of exciting charters in March. Dennis and Kathy Irvine from Houston, Texas had a double hookup on sails and Dennis lost the bet with Kathy as to who would land their fish first. Mates Jose and Salvador insisted that she did not get any extra help from them, Kathy brought the Sailfish in single handedly, quite a feat, our Pacific sails are world class fighters. |

Jack Nester from Albine, Texas spent 4 days on the STRIKE ONE and his final catch total was 21 Dorado, 7 Yellow fin tuna and a good-sized Sailfish. Jack is convinced that Puerto Vallarta is the ultimate fishing destination in Mexico and has booked another 20 days with Captain Hector on the STRIKE ONE for 2002. Can't wait to find out what he hooks in July! |

This is a 'Better Late than Never' photo sent to us by Chris Bohl who enjoyed a day on the STRIKE ONE late in February. Chris Waldhaus is the angler and he took this Barracuda home with him as well as a few filets of the big Rooster that they caught. He wrote to tell us that the Barracuda was fabulous eating but he was still eyeing the Rooster fillets that he had soaking in milk. He couldn't remember if Phil's advice to do this was to sweeten the taste of the fish or just make it look a bit lighter. Phil told him to toss the fish on the barbeque, have a couple of shots of Tequila and enjoy! |
