Our family fishing days also included the Weis family. The Weis parents with their sons, 7 year old Cameron and 11-year-old Eric spent a day on the LILIANA. This boat is 40 feet and has lots of room for energetic boys to bounce around in. Phil's specialty is fishing with children and he always accompanies his family charters. These young men were a challenge for the ever patient Phil and he was on his toes all day long, just trying to keep them on board. The boys caught lots of 4 to 5 pound Skip Jacks, the perfect kid sized fish to keep them busy. They saw Humpback whales, Sea Turtles, Dolphins, Jelly fish and even a huge Manta Ray. Phil slept well that night, it was a fun day with some pretty energetic kids. |

Vickie King brought her children to Puerto Vallarta 10 years ago and enjoyed fishing with them so much that she wanted to have the opportunity to do the same with her beautiful grandchildren, Hannah and Ryan. So, with Mom and Dad, Robert and Jan this family headed out with Phil to try for some of the fish that we had watched from our terrace in the days prior. They cruised past Phil's house to check out the activity in front of Punta Negra. Phil was looking for some kid sized fish but the 3 Jack Cravelle that they hooked were considerably more than Hannah and Ryan could cope with so Robert enjoyed the fight. Our Jacks are called Toro which means 'Bull' and this is how they react to a hook in their mouth. The dolphins entertained the family and a fairly spectacular display by some pretty frisky Manta Rays topped off the adventure. |
